Meet Hustlas, The Next Gen

It was maybe around 9:15PM last night, after a long day on the streets which began at 11AM, doing a bit of hustling myself in advance of gathering local business participation for the pipeline's (ans Our Urban Times'!) upcoming Holiday Printed Insert Spectacular, when I walked past a business owner near Six Corners, who interrupted a conversation he was having to say to more...

Sept. 20 Pipeline

Ah, another issue put to rest, CLICK HERE for the Sept. 20th pipeline, naturally with a lot of things we wish we could've/would've/should've done differently! Unfortunately the Internet on our desktop computer is acting up, so all of the photos Phlash snapped and uploaded to our desktop were unable to be shared this week, because I could not figure out a way to more...

Wicker Park’s Jackson Junge Gallery Gearing up for a Busy Chicago Artists Month

Perhaps there's no better way to kick off the "Artful Networks"- themed 16th Annual Chicago Artists Month than to get busy networking with and welcoming as many artists as you can into your gallery space. For Pipeline community news sponsor Jackson Junge Gallery, the magic number was an impressive 53 Chicago artists, all of whom will be contributing works to "Element more...

Spaces with Eva Bergant, Sept. 20

Now that we've discussed home inspections and "attorney review," it is time to highlight the third and perhaps most important contingency: your mortgage. A key component to a successful transaction, the mortgage contingency provides that you, the buyer, will obtain a mortgage for a set amount, including a set down payment, rate and duration, all to be established by a more...

From the Trenches: CeCe on The Raincoats, Local Music Scene

In a random series of very fortunate events, I was walking down Milwaukee Ave. feeling defeated.  I was brainstorming ideas for my next fashion column and getting shot down by just about everyone I wanted to talk to about boots and fall fashion.  Who doesn't wanna brag about why their store needs to be checked out?!  Apparently, a few local shops, to my dismay.  And more...

Cue in… MEAT! Fourth Annual Rib-a-Que Comes to Moonshine Oct. 1, 2011

Oct. 1st, in celebration of the 4th Annual Rib-a-Que, there will be ribs, ribs, and more ribs in the parking lot/gathering space of Division Street's Moonshine, along with music, celebrity food judges, and much more more...

The Sign Says It’s Boring, Phlash Says It Aint

The Sign Says It’s Boring, Phlash Says It Aint

The Boring Store in Wicker Park is not boring, no matter what the sign says. I walked in and had a hard time leaving; they had to push me out the door as my son, Marty, kept showing me all of this cool stuff. 826 CHI is a tutoring center that is located inside and behind the Boring Store, you would not believe it unless you saw it: kids of all ages doing homework more...
