In addition to a Sunday afternoon armed robbery that took place at a business on the 2300 block of N. Damen Ave., a cinder brick was thrown through the window of a business on the 1600 block of N. Milwaukee Ave. early Sunday morning, according to the owner of the business, who wished to get the word out to other area business owners so that they can be on alert.
“I do not have much else to report other than it happened early Sunday morning. They threw a cinder block through the window and ripped out the cash drawer, that was empty. That is all just an expensive mess,” she wrote via email.
The Pipeline placed a call to Chicago Police News Affairs to find out if there is any more information on the incident, or if other thefts of cash registers have been reported in the area. We’ll add to this post if we learn more.
