As reported last week, members of the Greater Goethe Neighborhood Association met with 1st Ward Ald. ‘Proco” Joe Moreno and representatives from the Family Dollar Corporation to discuss the discount retailer’s plan to move into the long vacated Dearborn Wholesale Grocery building at 2274 N. Milwaukee.
Family Dollar’s existing location at 2252 N. Milwaukee Ave., established in 1996, is just one building south of the Dearborn space. The main difference between the two spaces is that the Dearborn building has an attached parking lot.
