Thank you to Lauren, a local resident who wrote in with the following note, and to Nourhy of NOW Studio, a Holistic Health & Healing Center at 2515 N. California Ave. for both donating to the laptop fundraiser yesterday. As previously reported, our laptop was stolen on July 18th from a business on the 1500 block of North Milwaukee Ave. We’ve raised
$255 $306 toward our new laptop and are very grateful for reader support!
“Hi! I’m a devoted reader and I’d like to contribute money for your new computer but I couldn’t find where to do it on PayPal. Could you please send me a link to the page? Thanks! Also, I was really pleased to see the response you received regarding taking care of the rats from the owner of the lot where the green parking lot will be built on Milwaukee. We have a couple “resident” outdoor cats who patrol the neighborhood, but despite their impressive hunting skills, they are no match for the exploding rodent population in the neighborhood!
If you would like to donate to the fundraiser as well, visit paypal.com and send your donation of any amount- even $1 would make a huge difference if everyone who subscribes to newsletter kicked in a buck- to “firstname.lastname@example.org.”
In addition to Lauren and Nourhy, thanks also to Anonymous, Danette Chavez, Chris Riegel, Leah Viands, Meredith C., Stephanie Thompson, and Anne Shaw. Your names will be included in the printed holiday magazine in a special thank you section.
