Franciscan Outreach Partners with Chris Kennedy’s Top Box Foods

Franciscan Outreach Association has partnered with Top Box Foods to provide high quality meats and produce at half the cost paid at typical retail groceries. We would like to make this service available to our Wicker Park/Bucktown neighbors as well as FOA supporters, volunteers, staff, and guests who have moved into permanent housing.
Founded by former Merchandise Mart president Christopher Kennedy, Top Box is a self-sustaining nonprofit hunger relief organization that bundles food selections in boxes and sells them through community groups and churches. Everyone who buys from Top Box becomes a contributor in the fight against hunger. Furthermore, Franciscan Outreach receives a contribution for every box ordered for pickup at our facility.
To check out Top Box offerings or place an online order, please visit www.topboxfoods.com. Orders may be placed at the site, paid for by credit card, and picked up at Franciscan Outreach, 1645 W. LeMoyne St., on the second Saturday of each month. Please order online, as FOA is not set up to take and process orders. Enter Franciscan Outreach in the “company” field when ordering to ensure that your order will be available for you to pick up from us.
Franciscan Outreach is the only participating Top Box site in the greater North Side lakefront area. The deadline for placing July orders is Monday, July 2, with pickup on Saturday, July 14 (time to be confirmed – please plan on being present as we cannot store orders).
By ordering from Top Box, you will save money on top quality foods, help in the fight against hunger, and help Franciscan Outreach, one of the largest providers of services to the homeless in Chicago and a longtime WPB charity.
