This Saturday, June 16th, the neighborhood will be abuzz with learning opportunities, as the 3rd annual Learnapalooza descends upon 19 neighborhood spots, which will play host to free volunteer-taught courses ranging from goal setting to camera for beginners, hoop dancing, beekeeping (pictured) and everything-you-never-thought-you-could-learn in a classroom like “what colors can do for your business” and “how to order ethnic food without looking stupid.”

We just counted 67 FREE classes (many of which are already filled to capacity, like Getting the Most from Excel and Bollywood Cardio), scheduled from 10AM to 6PM.

The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee, will host an all day Learnapalooza Cafe as well as drop-in Euchre 101 (RSVP suggested for Euchre).

The Pipeline has attended and participated in the past two festivals. Here’s images and a few words from Learnapalooza 2010, as well as Learnapalooza 2011.

Anyone interested in reporting on their Learnapalooza experience is welcome to do so here on the pipeline site.  Please add a comment to this post with the classes you are registered for and we’ll look forward to reading your dispatch from the trenches of learning.
