Earth Day is this Saturday, April 21st. The Bucktown Community Organization, per its latest newsletter, is working at two parks on Saturday morning from 9AM to Noon. Please come over and help out. No experience needed! At the Churchill Park Garden (2007 W. Churchill) on the Damen facing side, we’ll be cleaning up and planting new day lilies…. If you have a shovel or spade, bring it with, or we’ll have some to share.
Over at Ehrler Playlot, 2230 W. Cortland (at Oakley) we’ll be raking and cleaning and filling the sandbox. An hour of your time is greatly appreciated, or stay all morning! (Churchill planting is a rain-or-shine event).
