Click here for the April 6th Pipeline.

If all goes well, Daddy Cool’s, a hot dog and burger joint at 2200 N. Milwaukee that had initially hoped to open this past December, will greet diners as early as one week from this Monday, aka April 16th.

Daddy Cool’s manager, Brad, who also works at Innjoy (Daddy Cool’s is owned by Rich Kewitz, who also owns Innjoy) gave The Pipeline a sneak peek earlier today.

There’s picnic tables in the back that are enclosed, as well as a long dining area decked out in Play-doh colors featuring vintage hubcaps on the wall, Andy Warhol prints, memorabilia/Americana, surf boards, and a telephone booth containing a pay phone that is just for show.

Daddy Cool’s will be open until Midnight Sunday through Thursday and 6AM on Fri-Sat.

You have a typo, Innjoy is owned by the Hathaway’s. Daddy Cool is also owned by the same family. Rich Kewitz is the General Manager and a family member (cousin) of the Hathaway’s. Rich Kewitz is a partner in the ownership of the building on Milwaukee. But credit for both businesses goes to Hathaway.

Thanks, so sorry! A few months back, in the fall, I believe I met a Joe Hathaway, who told me about Daddy Cool’s and I wrote a few lines on it in a now expired newsletter… clearly I have a bad memory. When I saw the sign hiring for cooks I stopped in this past Friday. It looks amazing! Love the picnic tables and the old phone booth.
