Each of our Parks has an Advisory Council or a Friends organization – Wicker Park takes care of the fountain and the fabulous gardens. Holstein Park is raising money for a complete renovation. Churchill Dog Park Improvement Committee is seeking volunteers, as well as hosting a Fundraiser, in conjunction with HomeMade Pizza Co., 1953 W. Wabansia, next Wed. Feb. 29, 2012.
Friends of Bloomingdale Trail is moving forward to become a linear park connecting three miles of neighborhoods. The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce has options for getting involved, too. Schools are always looking for community members to join the School Councils. Art? Film? What do you want to do? It’s out there or it’s ready for you to start. That’s the beauty of a great neighborhood.
