The Valentine’s Day Adventures of Wicker Lily and Buck Tom: Part 1, Naughty Nights and Savory Snacking

A couple who’ve been at each others’ side for as long as they can remember, Wicker Lily and Buck Tom were perfect, but they had a problem. They were completely stumped as to what to get each other for Valentine’s Day!
I mean, after a few years, it gets hard to keep a relationship interesting. And this coming Feb. 14 isn’t just any old day for the couple, who married 14 years ago, on Feb. 14, 1998. Feb. 14, 2012 is their “Golden Anniversary.”
So both of them were on a mission to shower each other with special gifts to make this holiday one to remember, more specifically in the intimate sense.
Prepare yourselves, this is about to get pretty steamy…
Wicker Lily’s first stop was G Boutique, at 2131 N Damen.
Already a fan of their panty-of-the month club, she immediately scooped up a pair of lime green panties and then checked out their lingerie section.
G Boutique’s “Dita” corsets caught her eye. The most perfect red satin color, the corset reminded her of the dress she was wearing when she and Buck Tom shared their very first kiss. Plus she suspected that the fitted bust would accentuate her voluptuous curves. She could just picture Buck Tom’s jaw dropping at the sight of her standing in their bedroom wearing the red satin corset, perhaps at the foot of the bed, one leg propped up seductively, a loving look on her face.
Since there was always a cold draft in their bedroom, she selected a purple silk kimono to pair with the corset, and, to set the mood, a massage candle. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a peculiarly shaped purple pleasure toy, unlike any kind she’d ever seen. In fact, it looked like a desk-sized version of a St. Louis Arches souvenir.
Sally, a sales girl, approached, “Ah, the We-Vibe III, it’s hard to believe it was only three years ago when the We -Vibe 1 came on the scene. I can’t remember what my honey and I’s bedroom life was like before we got our We.”
“That’s great, but what does it do? ” Buck Lily asked, as Sally gently steered her into a private room, with only a desk and a computer screen.
“You will have to watch this official video about the We Vibe III by yourself. But I’ll just say that bringing a We-Vibe into your lovemaking involves allowing your two pleasure points to be given the extra attention they deserve while simultaneously enjoying the feeling of your partner inside of you, while he, too, can experience the sensations from We-Vibe pressing against him as well, gently or intensely depending on the settings you choose. Both of the We Vibe’s very flexible arms can be programmed separately for optimum pacing.”
After the video, Wicker Lily decided that she shouldn’t waste anymore time living a toy-less life. The We-Vibe, what a thoughtful gift to get for Buck Tom and herself! She bid goodbye to Sally, carefully folded her credit card receipt in neat squares representing her old and regimented ways and tucked it deep into the crevices of her purse where Buck Tom rarely goes.
Then she happily strolled over to Wormhole Cafe to grab a coffee and texted her boo to see if they could meet up, positively giddy with the excitement of her shopping adventure! As she sat and sipped her coffee, her hand was compelled to return to the package in the G Boutique bag. The We-Vibe might be all packaged up, but it would soon be unwrapped and put to good use after the one hour long charging period. She couldn’t wait!
Meanwhile Buck Tom’s mind was in the same gutter, different street!
Across town, he was checking out Couple’s Corner, at 2014 W Division St. This reasonably priced adult boutique has a comfortable environment for couples to shop together, or in Buck Tom’s case, for each other. He spotted a pair of sparkly pumps, which were just Wicker Lily’s style, as well as suction cup handcuffs, which caused him to wonder how Wicker Lily would react if he suddenly popped in on her next bath with the cuffs hidden under his towel until the perfect moment. Maybe a mesh sponge containing a small vibrating bullet would be a better fit for bath time? Decisions, decisions…
Another hot item he found for his honey was the Lelo Insignia Vibrator, which satisfies every possible need Wicker Lily could have in the bedroom. He waited for the helpful clerk, Angie, to wrap all of Wicker Lily’s gifts and checked his cell phone: one missed call from Wicker Lily! He ran to his apartment in, you may have guessed, Bucktown, and hid the goodies. He texted her to meet him at her favorite spot.
The couple shared a brief kiss outside Red Hen Bread, 1623 N. Milwaukee, and then locked arms and went inside. The fragrance of freshly cooked bread wafted through the air. He asked what was in her shopping tote. She winked and said “It’s a surprise!” He got a freshly baked warm baguette, that was crunchy on the outside but soft and pillowy on the inside. He broke the bread in half and lightly buttered one end. It was the perfect accompaniment to his cup of creamy mushroom soup. He even had dessert, a heart shaped iced cookie, he was so much in the loving spirit. Buck Lily had just a few bites of a Peanut Butter and Jam Sandwich. They both tried to hide their excitement from each other.
Then shock hit mid chew. What about gifts for Valentine’s Day? Buck Tom realized he hadn’t gotten Wicker Lily’s favorite terrapin chocolates from Margie’s Candies. And Wicker Lily still needs to figure out the perfect gift to give Buck Tom at dinner. Which, by the way, where will they be having dinner? I don’t think either of them knew as Buck Tom bit his fingernails and Wicker Lily nervously searched her iPhone for hot, new restaurants in the area as well as racked her brain trying to remember that lovely Cuban place with the Fried Pork Medallions and Mojito Special that they’d went to on a romantic July night a few years back. If she recalled correctly, the restaurant even served up a Medieval Valentine’s Dinner. Perhaps she could wear her G Boutique corset out of the bedroom and to dinner at a place like that, or pop by a new boutique on Ashland that she heard about which makes custom corsets and lingerie?
