A man suspected in three area bank robberies hit his fourth last Saturday. The suspect, who is described as a bearded African American around 35 years old, about 6 feet tall, robbed the Chase Bank branch in the 1900 block of W. Division at 1:59 p.m. This man is not to be confused with the Wicker Park Bandit, who according to this Sun-Times article, robbed the very same bank on Dec. 20.
The Examiner recently covered the protesters who gathered in front of the Wicker Park-Bucktown Library, 1701 N. Milwaukee Ave. last Monday. According to the article, about 50 people showed up to show their displeasure with Mayor Emanuel’s decision to reduce library hours at Chicago Public Libraries.

Before opening their much-anticipated Wicker Park restaurant The Trencherman, chef brothers Michael and Pat Sheerin will be debuting their cuisine with a pop-up weekend at the Logan Square Kitchen, Feb. 12 – 14. The five course tasting menu will include beer, wine and cocktail pairings and will run about $120, according to this article posted by the Chicagoist. Find tickets here.

Back in September, we wrote about the closing and subsequent remodeling of the Logan Square theater, which played Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris on its final day of operation. Via the ChiBoulevard blog, which covers Logan Square and was recently featured in the Reader’s Bleader blog, we learned that the Logan is expected to re-open as early as the end of this month.
