It was great meeting people over the weekend at the Bucktown Arts Fest. Thanks for reading this part of the Pipeline, and supporting your community in many ways.
This beautiful weather made it easy for me to be out with a new buyer looking at several options for their new home. While prices are not necessarily increasing, there are more people making decisions to purchase new homes. With more transactions occurring, there are more factors to compare and evaluate in deciding what to offer (and what to accept). Once the buyer and seller agree on a price and the details of the sale, an appraiser must confirm the purchase price that a bank will authorize as a mortgage amount.
There were three closings this past week in Bucktown and Wicker Park. All were attached condos, including a Penthouse unit which sold for just over $1 million.
