This past Saturday, June 25, Humboldt Park Stewardship participated in a native planting in a shady corner of the big Lagoon at Humboldt Park.

Volunteers from Logan Square, Wicker Park, Perkins and Will, and Core Power Yoga students planted Jacob’s Ladder, Zig Zag Goldenrod, Joe Pye Weed and others native flowers which attract and nourish our native birds, bees and butterflies.

Photos of the workday can be viewed on this Humboldt Park Stewardship Facebook Page.
