TODAY: Summer Vintage Shopping Weekend Kicks Off at RGB Lounge

The Pipeline popped by RGB Lounge yesterday, at 1420 N. Milw., just as the Summer Vintage Shopping Weekend vendors were setting up their wares. It was near the tail-end of a long afternoon, and our camera battery was plum outta juice, so we didn’t snap any photos, though it looked like it’s going to be a really cool market with a plenty of interesting vintage items!  Check out the event’s Facebook page for the rundown.

Per organizer Frances Klick of Venus Meets Vintage, which just launched a new Facebook Page, the clothing at the market is from as early as the 1940s and expands into the early 1990s. In addition to handmade designs and vintage style street wear, the gathering features music mixes by Tony Junior and 60s Era Films which will play on a projection screen.

Milwaukee Ave, just West of Wood and East of Damen.  The Vintage Shopping Weekend kicks off today (Sat) from  Noon- 8pm and continues tomorrow, Sunday, from Noon- 5pm. Are you planning to pop by? Don’t forget to ALSO pop by one of our very favorite Vintage Markets, Vintage Heaven, at the Heaven Gallery, 1550 N. Milw. on the 2nd Floor, above Lubinski’s. Vintage Heaven takes place every weekend. And then there’s also Lenny & Me, store B vintage, Silver Cloud Vintage, Vintage Underground, Kokorokoko, Three Birds Gallery, and probably other vintage shops we’ve inadvertently left out. All of the hyper-linked folks are participating in the upcoming neighborhood booklet, too, speaking of which I need to get back to writing it! All content is due to copy edit tomorrow night, and we are still on track to go to press at the end of this month!!!
